See your screen resolution

system_profiler reports every connected display and its resolution in pixels, including whether it is a Retina screen.

Without Terminal

  1. Open System Settings.
  2. Choose Displays — the current size is shown for each screen.

In one command

List each display’s resolution:

system_profiler SPDisplaysDataType | grep Resolution

A Retina screen reports its real pixels (like 3024 x 1964); apps lay out as if it were half that in each direction.

Or just ask Titan
What resolution is my screen, and what size should a screenshot for it be? Do it with Titan

Titan is an AI that lives on your computer: tell it what you need and it does it while you watch — you press Return, nothing runs by itself. What is Titan?

Titan isn’t on this computer yet. Get Titan, then press the button again — the task will be waiting, typed in.
