See your computer’s chip and memory

Apple menu → About This Mac lists the chip and memory. In Terminal, system_profiler SPHardwareDataType prints the model, chip, number of cores and memory in one go.

Without Terminal

  1. Apple menu → About This Mac.
  2. Chip and Memory are on the first screen; More Info shows the rest.

In one command

Model, chip and memory:

system_profiler SPHardwareDataType | grep -E 'Model Name|Chip|Memory'
Or just ask Titan
What chip and how much memory does my computer have? Do it with Titan

Titan is an AI that lives on your computer: tell it what you need and it does it while you watch — you press Return, nothing runs by itself. What is Titan?

Titan isn’t on this computer yet. Get Titan, then press the button again — the task will be waiting, typed in.
