Combine PDFs into one
Open the first PDF in Preview, show the sidebar thumbnails, and drag the other PDFs into it in the order you want, then save. Or run the join tool that ships with the system to merge any number of PDFs in one line.
Without Terminal
- Open the first PDF in Preview.
- View → Thumbnails.
- Drag the other PDFs onto the thumbnail list where they should go.
- File → Export as PDF… to save the combined file.
In one command
Merge PDFs in the order you list them:
"/System/Library/Automator/Combine PDF Pages.action/Contents/MacOS/join" -o combined.pdf first.pdf second.pdf third.pdf
The order on the command line is the order of the pages. The source PDFs are not changed.
