Change where screenshots are saved
Press ⌘⇧5, click Options, and choose a folder under “Save to” — every screenshot and recording goes there from then on.
Without Terminal
- Press ⌘⇧5.
- Click Options in the toolbar.
- Under Save to, pick Documents, Clipboard, or Other Location… for a folder of your own.

Check where they are going now (blank means the Desktop):
