Sort a list alphabetically

Put one item per line in a text file and run sort — alphabetical by default, -f to ignore capitals, -r to reverse, -n for numbers. Numbers and Pages can also sort a table by column.

How

A to Z, ignoring capital letters:

sort -f names.txt > sorted.txt

Largest number first:

sort -nr scores.txt

Or just ask Titan
