Find the file you worked on yesterday

In Finder, open Recents, or search with Spotlight and filter by Last opened date. Spotlight’s command-line tool, mdfind, lists every file changed since yesterday in one line.

Without Terminal

  1. Open a Finder window and click Recents in the sidebar.
  2. Sort by Date Last Opened.
  3. Or press ⌘F in Finder and add the rule “Last opened date is within last 2 days”.

In one command

List files in your home folder changed since yesterday:

mdfind -onlyin ~ 'kMDItemContentModificationDate >= $time.today(-1)'
Or just ask Titan
Find the spreadsheet I was working on yesterday and open it. Do it with Titan

Titan is an AI that lives on your computer: tell it what you need and it does it while you watch — you press Return, nothing runs by itself. What is Titan?

Titan isn’t on this computer yet. Get Titan, then press the button again — the task will be waiting, typed in.
