Find empty folders
find -type d -empty lists every folder with nothing in it. Look at the list first; adding -delete removes them, and only ever removes folders that are truly empty.

List the empty folders under Documents:
find ~/Documents -type d -emptyWhen the list looks right, remove them:
find ~/Documents -type d -empty -deleteSome apps keep empty folders on purpose and recreate them. Stick to folders you made.
